subhodayam is committed to publishing accurate, fair, and truthful journalism. We acknowledge that errors can occur in a fast-paced digital newsroom and we take our responsibility to correct mistakes seriously. This Corrections and Clarifications Policy outlines how we identify, process, and communicate corrections to our readers.

Types of Corrections

We distinguish between several types of corrections: Factual Corrections — changes to information that was demonstrably incorrect at the time of publication, such as incorrect names, dates, statistics, or quotes; Clarifications — additions or modifications to correct ambiguous or misleading content that, while not technically false, created an inaccurate impression; Updates — additions to reflect new developments in an ongoing story, clearly labelled with the date and nature of the update; and Retractions — in exceptional circumstances where an article is found to be fundamentally flawed, fabricated, or legally problematic, we may retract it entirely, clearly explaining the reason for retraction.

How We Correct Errors

When an error is identified — whether by a reader, a subject of our reporting, a source, or a member of our own team — the following process is followed: the error is escalated to the relevant section editor for review; the editor investigates the claim and consults available evidence; if the error is confirmed, the article is corrected within the shortest possible timeframe; a clearly visible correction note is appended to the article stating what was incorrect and what the correct information is, along with the date of correction; the correction is communicated through our social media channels if the original story was widely shared; and for significant corrections, the Editor-in-Chief is notified and may issue a formal correction statement.

Reader-Submitted Corrections

We welcome corrections from our readers and take all submissions seriously. To submit a correction request, please email info@onenews.co.in with the subject line “Correction Request.” Include the article URL, the specific claim you believe is incorrect, and the evidence or sources supporting your correction. Our team will acknowledge your submission within 24 hours and provide a substantive response within 48 hours.

Transparency

We do not silently alter articles after publication. All corrections are clearly labelled within the article with the date and nature of the change. We believe transparency about our errors is essential to maintaining reader trust and we treat every correction as an opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to accuracy.
