Scope of Grievances
The Grievance Redressal Mechanism covers complaints related to: content that you believe is false, inaccurate, or misleading; content that you believe violates your privacy rights or contains your personal information without consent; content that you believe is defamatory, obscene, or otherwise unlawful; content you believe violates the Programme Code or Norms of Journalistic Conduct prescribed under the Rules; and technical issues related to the removal or restoration of previously accessible content.
How to File a Grievance
To file a grievance, please send a written complaint to the Grievance Officer at editor@onenews.co.in. Your complaint should include: your full name and contact details; the URL of the content you are complaining about; a clear description of the nature of your complaint; the specific relief or resolution you are seeking; and any supporting documentation or evidence.
Timelines
Upon receipt of your grievance, the Grievance Officer will: acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 24 hours; investigate the complaint thoroughly and independently; provide you with a substantive response within 15 days of receipt; and where appropriate, take remedial action including correction, clarification, or removal of the offending content.
Escalation
If you are not satisfied with the response of our Grievance Officer, you may escalate your complaint to the Press Council of India or the appropriate self-regulatory body or Inter-Departmental Committee as provided under the Rules. We cooperate fully with all regulatory and oversight bodies.
